New Updates to Gemini Platform

At XtremeLabs, we offer 900+ courses and are constantly working to improve our labs and expand our course offering. Updates have been made to our labs platform to enhance our user experience.

We have created a space on our labs platform where we can share news about our labs and user experience. You can find updates on our What’s New page, which can be accessed by clicking on your user profile and then the first item on the dropdown list:

Look out for information on the latest labs available and any updates being made to our labs platform.

We have also added a new Statistics page. Students will be able to view the progress of each lab they have begun or completed. We plan to continuously add new dashboards and visuals to this page, so please stay tuned!

We are always looking for feedback from the XtremeLabs community, so please let us know at BTP@xtremelabs.io if there is other information you’d like updates on.

Special thanks go out to David Elfassy and his staff for hosting the event in his beautiful city. The weather was not very kind to us but nevertheless, we enjoyed the warmth of his city and his hospitality. Topics presented at the summit included: The evolution of a Performance Based Exam, Scaling issues with Performance testing and how to approach improvements, Simulations as a Performance-Based Testing Solution, and the daily challenges of deploying and running a Performance-Based testing program.

Thank you Julie and PTC! Looking forward to the next Summit in March 2020!

Gemini Updates – And Announcing New Features!

In August, XtremeLabs released Gemini, a new updated user interface for our lab portal. Gemini was the first release in a serious of product updates scheduled for our lab portal.

XtremeLabs is deeply committed to providing the best possible experience to our users. In response to all of the positive feedback and suggestions we received last month to our Gemini release, the XtremeLabs team has been working hard to implement additional improvements to the labs platform user experience.

There are new classroom search capabilities as well as some layout changes, and some of our favorite features, such as the ability to save and resume a lab module, are now cleaner and easier to use.

At this time, your account should default to the Gemini view, in the case that it does not please follow the instructions below for the Gemini view.

  1. Log in to your account at labs.xtremelabs.io as usual.
  2. On the far-left column, select the “My Account” tab.
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the page and you will see radio buttons to update your theme from “Classic” to “Gemini.” Select “Gemini.”
  4. Select “Update Preferences.”

We also have some new features/releases that we are very excited to roll out in the next several months. As an education technology company, we believe that our instructors and students should have greater transparency into their course progress. We also want to more deeply engage our users to understand what they would most like to see on our platform. To that end, we are working on a new analytics page and will be gathering ideas for future features from the XtremeLabs community.

More to come soon!

“We all need people who will give us feedback. That’s how we improve.” Bill Gates, Founder, Microsoft

Any additional feedback to our Gemini release can be sent to BTP@XtremeLabs.io.

As always, thank you for your continued support and thank you for being part of the XtremeLabs community!
